you might drop by zona de Chueca, awful nightlife there lots of open minded people there. A popular greeting someone may tell to you to get conversation is "entiendes?" o "tú entiendes". You would politely answer "entiendo muy bien". Have fun :)

in madrid "entiendes?" is slang for "are you gay?" so saying "entiendo muy bien" would translate to "oh god yes! take me now!" hahaha but don't let that deter you :P definitely check out chueca! the club ESCAPE just near the metro entrance is great, it's got a very modern almost industrial kind of ambience and the last time i was there they were playing soccer on the big screen at the bar. oh.. and it's a great place to meet lesbians
