Good Morning,
First time visitors to Spain. We will be landing at T4 - will look for Bus #204 to Av de America bus. When I get off at Av de America how far is Cava de San Miguel near Plaza Major? If we take metro will get lost so bus looks much easier.

Bus 204 leaves you at Avenida de America station, from here there's a long way to Plaza Mayor, and there's not direct bus. So take the underground at Avenida de America.
Street Cava de San Miguel is very close to Plaza Mayor. Search in google maps "Cava de San Miguel, Madrid" and you will see quite clearly in the map where the metro is (Sol station), where Plaza Mayor is and where Cava de San Miguel is.
The new underground station that will reach the T4 is to be in service soon -during May, there're regional elections at the end of may and politicians want to open it before the elections-. So maybe it will be open by the time you arrive to Madrid and you can take the underground directly at the airport.

The metro in Madrid is very easy.. you can download a copy of the map in the address:www.metromadrid.es (click in "plano de metro") you can find leaflets in the ahall of any station (in the ticket window).
