Help with decisions! .2 active seniors need a Granada hotel for 2 nights November8-10. really liked casa Marisca but there seem to be no rooms for the nights we need. Tentatively staying at Palacio des Navas or Paraga Siete but also considering Casa 1800. We thought there might be a cheaper alternative. We basically want a good location (most important), decent sized quiet rooms. reasonable priced breakfast or included would be a plus. And helpful staff.

Also, looking for 4 nights in Seville. tentatively staying at Hotel Becquer. Same thing as above.
And 2 nights in Madrid with very little time so location possibly near the train station (possibly going to Toledo for part of a day)Leaving mid day by plane on last day so need to get to the airport efficiently.

What does "a good location" mean?

You will find infinitely more info. to help you at sites like booking.com than will be available here, I'm afraid. Those sites should be able to tell you where your needs can be met, and will also contain many reviews from other independent travellers.

As above use booking.com you can see hotels on the map and the prices, the good thing is that only people who have actually stayed at the hotels can leave reviews, unlike TA.

Booking.com also allows you to select reviews from people in different categories .. solo, families, couples .. and ratings are in 7 categories, including cleanliness, comfort, location ...

there can be literally hundreds of reviews of a hotel, if you wanted to read specific comments (some useful, some plain silly ..).

Another vote for booking.com here - do read the reviews though.

Have used the site for bookings in Spain, Portugal and here in the UK.

As regards breakfasts, we were in Seville, Granada, Cordoba and Malaga earlier in the year and had better breakfasts in local cafes than we did in the hotels or hostels we were staying in - better coffee, orange juice squeezed in front of us and fresh croissants too.

Place in Seville wasn't posh, but there were lots of locals in there. Place in Granada was just down the road from the hostel we were staying in.

Used similar tactics in Portugal too in both Lisbon and Lagos.

Ibis in Malaga was charging €8 each for breakfasts in March this year, €6 each at Hotel Serrano in Cordoba.

Around €6-8 for two breakfasts at the cafes in Seville and Granada.

If planning on heading to Alhambra in Granada, pre-book your tickets as Sold Out signs were up by 9am on day of our pre-booked visit in March.
