just trying to get info on whether there are any bullfights in madrid (in la ventas or anywhere else in madrid) on saturday 7 july..and if so what times, when and where to buy tickets and what prices
any info appreciated

Go to the official Madrid bullring website http://www.las-ventas.com/</a> (only available in Spanish), click "Precios y Plano" ("Prices and Map") button towards the left on the upper horizontal menu. According to that page (and availability), prices could be as low as 4 Euros or as much as 120 Euros and about 100+ prices in between.
But you won't catch a bullfight on Saturdays except for special festivals and there's not one for that date. After the May San Isidro Festival and until the Autumn Festival there are usually only bullfights on Sundays. The Sunday, July 8 bullfight starts at 8:30pm. The Las Ventas website says you can get/reserve tickets online @ http://www.taquillatoros.com/</a> or you can buy them onsight at the bullring daily from 10am until 2pm and 5pm until 8pm.
