Hi everyone

I will be in the above cities four full days each. Could you please let me know the best way to get around inside each of these cities? Do I need to get a tourist pass or buy seperate bus, tram tickets?

Are there also tourist cards/passes you can buy to get discounts to see tourist attractions?
Kindest regards
Menushika

In Barcelona the ticket for the metro is the same as the bus and tram. Most people buy the T10 wich costs just under 10 EUR and contains 10 rides. It is however possible to buy 3 day (maybe more, never use them) unlimited passes as well, which may turn out cheaper if you plan to use the transportation intensively.

Thank you peejee. Where do you buy this pass? Are there tour passes that I should by to visit the main attractions? Is this a better option that buying individual tickets?

Hi Menushika - in any metro or train station there are vending machines which accept cash and cards. You can change the language to English.

You should reserve online for 2 of the main attractions: Park Guell and the Sagrada Familia. I believe you can buy for both at the entrance, but this way you avoid queues and you re sure you can enter. For all the other things you do not need to pre-book, but I am unsure about the Picasso Museum.

... to pre-book, but I am unsure about the Picasso Museum.

I was in Barcelona last September and on my last day I wanted to visit that particular Museum. There was so many people visiting on that day, I would have had to wait 3 hours before getting in. I had to renounce.

This year, I pre-booked.

you don't say when you will be in these cities - as ben advises if you are there in peak time months make sure you go online and pre purchase tickets to major attractions like museums.

Best mode of transport is feet or in Barcelona hire a bike there are hundreds of kms of cycle lane. You see much more and unless your have poor mobility both are good for walking around. If you need to go further a field just buy a one way ticket.
