Badger 1492 , I am from Barcelona but I am living now in Stockholm.
About the train the best is to use the automatic paying machines that you write the origin and destination and you get the ticket immediately. Within city borders just get a T1 card so you get 10 rides at any transport in the city for 1,15 hour.

The history of the Parc del Laberint is one of those places that were built with the money that catalan people living in Cuba brought to Spain. When they left the island, they abandoned also all the businesses that they had. Some people traded with natural products and others had a lot of money because of trading with slaves from Africa. The fact is that they all came back to Catalonia before the war that made Cuba independent at the beginning of the XX century and thay brought money, plants, wood and a different way of thinking that made possible to build manors and gardens in a different style. People were called Indianos and used to plant tropical trees in their gardens. They invested their money and continued trading with material (cotton, wool...) mainly. Some of their houses are now used as public buildings.
