Hi all I will be in Barcelona when they are listed to play Deportivo at the Nou Camp on 16th October I was wondering can I just turn up and purchase tickets at the stadium on the day as I don't think it will be a sellout ?

I have checked official Barca & Madrid websites and can't pre-purchase yet they only offer VIP packages so far.

I'm also hoping to catch Real Madrid play Athletic Bilbao on Oct 23rd at the Bernabau in Madrid my question is the same should I just turn up on the day and buy tickets as hopefully this will be cheaper than some of the ticket sale websites I have seen like Viagogo and such.

They list kickoff at 9pm is this correct it seems pretty late ?

Hopefuly these games won't sellout as they aren't too high profile ?

Any help would be much appreciated.

p.s anyone know about games in Lisbon at his me be an alternative too ?

La Liga tkts in Spain for general public go on sale couple weeks before game - you can join the respective clubs website alerts and you'll et an email when tkts become available. Games early in the season generally not sold out however by OCtober season is in full swing so may be more demand, in theory you could turn up on the day and get tkts but prob best to pre-book online as you'll have more choice and more chance of getting a tkt

I'd avoid websites like Viagogo as you pay more and have no say in what seats you get they tend to sell rubbish seats that locals wouldn't buy.

Don't know where you get 9pm time - both games are 4pm kick off on LaLiga draw websites?

P.S> Portuguese football details are at "http://www.espnfc.com.au/portuguese-liga/14/scores"

Hi there cheers for the info most helpful, so it looks best to leave it and try to pre-book a couple of weeks before the games.
I thought 9pm was odd, I must have totally read something wrong somewhere.

Will also check out the Portugal link a game there would be worthwhile also.

I would not guarantee that the dates or the times will be the same as they say, the tv schedule for October has not been released as yet. 9pm is not unusual for Spanish games. As above sign up for ticket information. I would expect tickets to be available on the day of the match but always better to buy online where possible.

There was a thread that tony_b responded to a few years ago about match scheduling - I cannot find it right now. Although the games are nominally all scheduled at the same time on a Sunday, what happens is that the games get different time slots across the weekend for TV scheduling reasons. So Matchday 9 (23rd October) will look more like Matchday 1 (21st August) does at the moment. Italian football is similar. HTH
