5 nights in Barcelona

sompong, I see you just joined yesterday and have already posted 28 similar messages to the one above. I have to admit that I'm nervous clicking links where someone says "I recommend XYZ. Regarding Hostal D'uxelles, I haven't seen this place personally but did stay at another hostel one block to the "right", closer to the Plaza Tetuan, called Hostal Martina Bailen. This area, called Eixample, is a very nice, elegant neighborhood. You'll like it a lot, I'm sure. It's much more residential with a few hotels and hostels but not the concentration of tourists you find in the Gothic Quarter. It's also rather quiet even though it's on the grand boulevard of Gran Vía. Only thing is, it's a good walk to the Gothic Quarter. The neighborhood is VERY safe, too. LOTS of money in that area. Also, there's not much to do in this part of Eixample and not too many restaurants to be found. You'll want to walk to Passeig de Gracia, 4 blocks "left", or to the edge of the Gothic Quarter 4 blocks "down" for more selection.
