Hi guys, we are a mother (55) and daughter (20) spending three weeks in southern Portugal and Spain in November. We fly in to Lisbon and train out of Barcelona a bit over 3 weeks later. We love natural scenic wonders, walking, markets, beaches. we also have the opportunity to stay in a house for a week in southern Spain. I know it is not long but we should be able to get a taste of Spain!
Looking for ideas?
We thought a few days in Lisbon and Barcelona and stopping a few places - perhaps A ay trip to SIntra, Faro, Seville, Malaga, Granada??
where might a good place be for a week with the option to do day trips? I was thinking Malaga or Granada.
We would also love a taste of Morocco - is is safe to travel for women? could we do just a few days??
Ideas welcomed...

There are already umpteen threads on this type of question, and I think you should begin by using the search function.
- Yes, three days (say) in both Lisbon and Barcelona is a good idea.
- Sintra is a good day-trip option from Lisbon.
- Don't waste your time going to Faro. You'll be bored after a couple of hours.
- Seville merits three days.
- Malaga is a pleasant one-day experience, but not a priority when compared with the other delights of Andalucia.
- Granada merits two days, most of one day for the Alhambra and another day for the rest of the city.
- Morocco is safe for women travellers if you take suitable precautions, but looking at all the other things you're already planning to do, I don't think you have time on this trip. Tangiers (if that's what you're thinking of) is a bit of a dump. Save Morocco lunti you get time for some of the more worthwhile cities.

ok, thanks! will check out the threads - wondering where a good spot might be for a week's stay with a few days trip options.

Lisbon and Barcelona have enough options for day-trips to spend five days (or more) in each of them.
