Im going to Lisboa tomorrow for a ~12 days. I am travelling solo and I havent made any plans yet. -but I guess I will find a nice hostel to stay for a couple of days while inspecting all the "must see" sites.

I'm going to Peneda-Geres national park in beginning of august. Unfortunately I will have only 1 or maximum 2 days, so I need to arrange my itinerary accurately. I'd like to go to Lindosa or Soajo to wonder on espigueiros and to make any easy to middle trek. So now I'm looking for transportation possibility from Braga to Soajo or Lindoso: is it possible by bus? It's mentioned in the last LP the only way is rare bus from Ponte da Barca or Arcos de Valdevez, but RG says there is regular…
I have a 12 hour layover in Lisbon (arrive 1pm from Paris - depart 1am to Sao Tome) and was wondering how best to kill some time in Lisbon. Epecially interested in good food/restaurants/cafes. I have a day room at the Radisson Hotel, so I will be in that section of town.
Any recommends for a business traveler would be appreciated.

I've been thinking of where to go this August, and having seen some pictures/videos on Lisbon, it looks really beautiful and I'd love to go. I used to live in Spain and have travelled around Italy, and am really curious about Portugal now.....I have around ten days for Portugal, so here are my questions:
How many days should I give myself to see and experience Lisbon?

I don't want to go to any beaches, as I have this here all year round :-) I love art/history…

me and two friends of mine are going to travel to lisboa in mid-september. we´ve planed to stay two or three days in the city and then move to the sea side.
we prefere not the most crowed beaches and places in the countryside, perhabs some of you got good advice.
north- or southwards from lisboa, and how is the weather going to be like?
maybe we´ll also want to try some surfing - where´s a good place to get started?
and how about hostels or bed&breakfasts near the sea?
