Is anyone able to advise on a cheap and easy way to get from the Algarve in Portugal to Ibiza, and then on to Morocco? We´ve had a last minute invitation to meet some friends there and would love to go, but budget and distance are causing us problems at the moment. Weºre currently in Lagos but could make it to Faro pretty easily. The budget airlines donºt seem to fly from Portugal to there. Malaga looks like the next option to get there, but its quite expensive.

You're right, there isn't a cheap and easy way from the Algarve to Ibiza. There are flights from Faro and Seville to Palma (Mallorca) and then you'll have to take a ferry from Palma to Ibiza. The Faro flights look expensive.

Nor (AFAIK) is there a way of getting from Ibiza to Morocco without returning to mainland Spain.

You may find that the cheapest way would be by Ryanair which flies Faro Madrid four times a week

Connect there with a Spanair Flight to Ibiza.

Then Spanair back to Madrid.

Return Flights are currently showing on the Spanair site in the next few days at +. € 170 to € 270.

Then Madrid to Morocco.

Remember at this time of year even the budget airlines can be expensive! :)

Have a look also at Spanair.

Look at flight options out of Seville as well - Spanair and Iberia.

Thanks for your replies.

Tony_b we've booked flights from Faro to Palma and will catch a ferry across. Its a bit more expensive than we'd like to pay, but it was too good an opportunity to miss!
