Public transportation from Marvao to Evora

Hello all,
My husband and I are planning a two week trip this summer to Portugal. Our first week we're planning to bike around the Alta Alentejo (we know it will be hot; we're planning siestas!).

My question: Our final leg will end in Marvao. I realize that public transportation in and of of this hilltop town is limited, but if anyone has suggestions about getting from Marvao to the Algarve with our bikes on public transit (train or bus), I'd be so grateful!

AFAIK, there aren't trains to Marvao (the line was closed in 2012).
By bus, I think Rodoviaria do Alentejo has buses from Marvao to Portalegre. Once in Portalegre, you can take a bus to Faro (take a look at this web for info about schedules and fares and, if you want, to book your ticket)
