Olá!

For the August, Lisbon - Porto train,
should I bother to buy the ticket online in advance(yes I know 30 days max)
OR
I can just buy the ticket at the station while in Lisbon 4-5 days earlier?

I mean, is the price going to be the same? ~25-30E?
Or is it more expensive if I buy it a few days before the travel?

Obrigado!

I know that already.
And I cannot buy them online yet since it's 30 days ahead and I need them for August.

I'm asking if there is any difference in price if:
a) I buy tickets AT THE STATION few days before I go
b) buy them online in July (for August)

25~30E?

As I far as i know the price is always the same on Portuguese trains as for whether you need to book in advance to secure ticket I am not sure how well used the service is. To me if you know the date you will go to Porto then but the ticket as soon as you can so you know will get your ticket if you want flexiblitiy then leave it until the day of departure.

if I recall correctly there's only a slight discount for booking online, IMO not worth the trouble.

and though you need a reservation, I doubt these trains sell out, since a lot of travel is done by long-distance bus (slightly cheaper, yet not as comfy)

Thanks guys I appreciate!

In that case I will just buy it 3-4 days earlier at the train station while in Lisbon.

Cheers!

I'm seeing €23 in advance, €30 on the day in 2nd class at www.cp.pt

Select Lisboa - Santa Apolonia as your starting point.
