Hi!

I am going to be in Portugal starting Friday, August 8th. I am trying to find any Inn to Inn walking/Hiking trips that I can do on my own without a tour guide. I can do from a 3-7 day trip. Any suggestions from those who have done something like that in Portugal?

Thank you,
Mussie

The Via Algarviana and Rota Vicentina could both be good although August could be a bit hot for this.

Hi Mussie,
I think you should have a look on Peniche, Baleal and Óbidos.
This are beautiful and small cities, that will allow you to have the sense of nature and warm of Portugal.
If you want a walk on the beach you have many miles of sandy beaches. If you want a walk in the nature, the are many beautiful country side walks you can do, as well as cultural walks. If you want to have a walk through an amazing lake side, you can find Lagoa de Óbidos.
If you look for an affordable Inn search for West Holidays.
Kind regards

If you are looking for a kinda of a hut-to-hut walking trip that is possible in Spain/France/Italy etc, then Portugal is rather short on these. Have a look at the area around Geres National Park or the Serra Estrela National Park.

Most of the walks available are of the shorter, in-and-out kind.
