hello everyone, i will be arriving in lisbon may 10th and will be staying a few weeks. can anyone reccomend a good budget hostel? or anyone know of a room for rent for a few weeks? im American but speak fluent Portuguese. i booked one night at "people" hostel just because it was the cheapest one i saw and it had good reveiws..any advice will be appreciated...thank you...:)

Lisbon is full of great hostels....if you have already booked your first night,and are staying there for a while,then I'd just walk around on the first day and see which one appeals to you most.

You can get a list of many of the possibilities on hostelworld....

a website where people post rooms or whole apartments. There is a huge variety of prices and fancy-ness. I have never used it though, and don't know much about it, but it sure does have a lot of options.
