Hi,
I'm planning a trip to Portugal and would love to do the walk to Santiago, however, I wouldn't be able to dedicate much more than 1-11/2 weeks to the walk. Does anyone have a recommended starting point?
Thanks!
Jenn

Umm... I may be wrong as I'm not an expert to Portugal, but isn't the Camino de Santiago in Spain? I thought it was a pilgrimage way leaving from France/Germany and ending in Santiago de Compostela, in Spain... Or perhaps we're not thinking about the same Santiago.

Yep it's definitely in Spain not Portugal. You could start off in Portugal but it would take quite a long time : )
There are camino routes to Santiago from England, France, Switzerland, Italy, Germany, Portugal - all roads lead to Santiago!!
The best place for you to start would be Tui - about 119km from Santiago - which also qualifies you for the Compostela certificate.
You can download a guide to the caminho Portugues here:

Buen camino!

Of course you can walk from Portugal.
However Sillydoll you did not give a link to your fav forum.
