Hi,

My girlfriend and I are travelling to southern Portugal in a campervan for a week or so at the end of June. We plan to head for Lagos/Sagres area (driving in from Seville in Spain) and then drive up the coast stopping off at nice beaches on our way to Lisbon.

Does anyone know of any good campsites in these areas please?

Preferably near good surfing beaches if possible and if anyone can recommend any of these that would be cool too. Also is it legal/advisable to stay the night at places if not on official campsites?

Any advice much appreciated.

Cheers in advance

Merlin

Never done camping outside a campsite but I understand it is illegal in Portugal because of the fire risk.
Here are two websites that will help you choose some campsites.
