Advise please,
after searching through the ALSA website I remain confused.

Can Non-Spanish citizens book online?
How far in advance?
Can I use a Non-Spanish credit or debit card?

The ALSA e-mail service appears to be faulty. Hence I need to help of fellow travelers.

Why ALSA? You can only use ALSA to travel from outside of Portugal to Portugal or the reverse. ALSA does not operate lines between cities in Portugal.
When do you plan to go?
It seems that the use of credit/debit cards of overseas-countries (USA, Australia, etc) causes problems every now and then. I don't know the reasons for it. I live in Spain, but use a dutch credit-card of necessary and never have a problem.

'Can Non-Spanish citizens book online?' - Yes, but not 'book', purchase.
'How far in advance?' - If you can see the schedules, you should be able to purchase.
'Can I use a Non-Spanish credit or debit card?' - A definite maybe. Use the PayPal facility, if a problem.
