Hi there. I have two friends who are heading to Holland in May 2009 who are looking for accommodation and would love to have your recommedations please!
Ideally they are after something:
in the countryside
affordable (around £20 per person per night)
self-catering
would love to be somewhrere where they can hire cycles and do day trips
Many thanks in advance for your thoughts!

Hi,
I'm going to Amsterdam in January for a weekend.
I want to stay in the best hostel.
Which hostel is the best in the city?
Thanks!

Many thanks!
Hi,
I´m planning going to Amsterdam by plane. Just wondering what is the best way to get to the city centre from the airport? In fact I need to get to DeLairessestraat nearby Vondelpark. By the chance isn´t there some direct bus connection between airport is this street? Where could I find all information about transport in Amsterdam?
Thanks
Martina
Has anyone stayed in the Funky Chickin "hotel" in Amsterdam? If so, how is it? Its seems interesting and like a really good deal, but I just wanted a few honest opinions on it first.

I know that this is a fairly common question, and there are other threads for it. But my question is a little different.
I will be in Amsterdam during the 2nd weekend in December. After some research, someone mentioned Hotel Brouwer and I decided to stay there only it is now sold out. Now I'm looking for something similar. Does anyone know of a fairly cheap ( but decent) hotel close to the center of things, preferably one that has views of the canals?
