Hi,

My name in Adam and I'm from Argentina. On July 16th I need to go from Amsterdam to Brugge, I think that the best option is by Train, this is truth?
I looked in the web page of Rail Europe and the price that they gave me is 97 Euros for that train (One Way only), and I think is too much.
I'm thinking to buy the tickets directly there in Amsterdam station 1 day before, this is a good option or I will not find tickets?
I looked on http://www.ns.nl/ but there I don't know why I cannot find and buy tickets (maybe because I'm doing the reserve from Argentina).
Thanks.

Adam!

Hi Adam,

You are using the Netherlands only website but wish to take an international train (Brugge is in Belgium). Use the NS international website which is http://www.nshispeed.nl/en - rail europe can sell you a ticket but they are charging you silly prices.

One way for tomorrow not using the Thalys (high speed train) = €46.60. Return = 2 x €46.60. It takes about 3 hours 32 minutes (it depends on which train you take).

One way for tomorrow using the Thalys train = €76.40. Return = 2 x €76.40. It takes about 3 hours 10 minutes.

There is a big difference in prices, I would not use the Thalys as it is only 30 minutes faster.

The prices for the 16th July (if you buy now) are €27.90 without the Thalys, €70.80 with the Thalys - there is a saving (around 50%) if you buy the tickets now. The website offers you the ability to print the ticket at home, or you can insert the credit card you use at the machine in the ticket office at Amsterdam Centraal station to pick it up on the day you travel.

Fwoggie,

Thank you very much. I saw the website http://www.nshispeed.nl/en and there I found the prices. There are a little difference between the prices that you said:

Thalys 2:40 duration. Price Euros 50,30
Normal: 3:32 Duration. Price Euros 49,10 For adults and 32,80 for youth.

I will choose with my sister and buy them now.

Thanks again for your help.

Adam.
