hidden gem

I stayed 3 nights in the guesthouse last month, and it has a really good location, at walking distance to the centre, with a great wiew on Amstel. The guy who manage the guest house is very kind, and helps you with good tips. The price is good, considering that you are in Amsterdam close to the centre. But I don't know if i would come back, as the room wasn't clean, and was better than the shower! (and there were no guests in the other room sharing toilet/shower). I'm new in the forum, I travelled quite a lot in South America, Asia and Europe and I can sleep almost everywhere, as every budget backpacker... Small, cold, dark room, but at least clean.
