Hi everyone :)

Me and my girlfriend will be in Amsterdam in April for three nights. We are looking for somewhere cheap to stay in a central location. Preferably a decent standard of room but doesn't have to be anything special. We are students so our budget would be under 70 euros a night for the both of us. Cheaper would be great though. Also we would welcome any posts about any great things to do as we have never been there before. Look forward to seeing what you all come up with. THANKS

Try www.stayokay.com for cheap, clean places to stay.

Check out crashpadder.com or airbnb.com, where locals rent spare rooms. I got a great deal on a room with shower and a private garden [!] right near the Vondelpark, and on a tram line. Avoid the end of the month [Queen's Day] or the week of the tulip festival.
