Two friends have as their tickets for the vaporetto which are still valid?

Are we allowed to use them?

Unfortunately they bought them online and their names are on the tickets.. not ours.

I have been pondering a via ferrata Dolomites adventure for my week long holiday that will either be the last week of June or the second week of July. I am very comfortable in the mountains and hope to figure this out on my own (i.e. booking refugios and not taking a guided trip). That said, I am terrified of crowds. Hi , Will be spending 2 1/2 days in Genoa , excluding travel time and then moving on to Cinque Terre . Planning the following and would appreciate advice .
a) 1 1/2 days in Genoa , seeing the old city . Appreciate specific recommendations of places not to miss .
b) A day trip to Portofino and Chiavari by boat , bus and train .

Is this doable ? Or too rushed ?

Is Portofino going to be very similar to Porte Verne and CT towns ? Should we skip it and spend the 2nd day in Genoa as well .

Hey eveyrone, my wife and I are going to visit Italy from the 2nd-18th of May 2017.
We'll be going to Milan -> Venice -> Florence -> Tuscany -> lake maggiore.
I'd like to get recommendations on special attractions that I should see that aren't in the usual listings.
I was thinking of good concerts of artists, special festivals or stuff like that.

I'd like to know whether there is a best time light-wise, i.e. is there a time of the day when the sunlight shining into the basilica creates a particularly atmospheric ambience? Hi everyone
My husband and I love Italy and last year we did an excellent experience staying 3 months in Palermo. We did 2 months italian course, made some good friends and traveled a lot around Sicily. Next year we want to do the same on the other side of the boot, on Puglia.
Would you give us some advice? Would Bari be a good choice as base for 3 months stay, study a little more italian, and travel arou the region? We think about staying march april may or april may june...

Myself and my husband, both mid twenties have 2.5 weeks in Italy this September.
We are flying into Venice and after 3 nights in Venice we are picking up a car and driving to the Dolomites. After 6nights there in a mix of Refugio's and a hotel in Cortina we are driving to Tuscany. We want to spend 2 nights in Tuscany and then drive to La Spezia where we will drop the car and then spend 2 nights in Monterosso. Then we have 4 nights in Rome before we fly home.
