Where to study Italian in Sicily?

Stomboli is an interesting trip,if you want to walk up to the crater (or you can even watch the eruptions by night,from a boat trip).

Nicest for swimming and beaches is maybe Panarea,though it is expensive..the beaches in general are not good on the Aeolians,and the sea water quality is very variable.But there is sea all around,some good swimming (often from boats rather than from land).

Best mud baths are on Vulcano,and there is also a nice volcano climb there,up to the crater.

It's mostly Stromboli and Vulcano that I'll be visiting then. If I stay on Lipari is it easy enough to use that as a base?

I can see that most of the places I want to go are expensive! Wish I was travelling with a tent. :-)

Lipari is a good base for Vulcano (quick ferry ride).

Stromboli is quite a bit further away,and not so easy by public transport.Many people do a private one day boat trip from Lipari.Some stay on Stromboli itself,particularly if you want to climb up to the crater.
