Hi Nel,
There are various options to get to the Pantheon from Termini. You can either take a taxi, which would take (depending on the time of arrival/traffic jams) 10/15 minutes. Otherwise you can take the 64 bus from Termini, get off at Largo Argentina and walk for 5 minutes. If you decide to walk all the way I guess it would take a full half hour but since you have luggage I don't think it's a good choice. I would personally take the bus, that's what I usually do if I have to get there from Termini.
The weather is great, it's quite warm (28/30 C). The problem is that sometimes it changes unexpectedly and it starts raining...this usually happens in the afternoon. Make sure you wear layers, a light top when you walk under the sun, a long-sleeved shirt to go visit churches and a water-proof jacket in case it rains. Also...don't wear stiletto-ish shoes cause they get stuck between the stones on the old-style Roman roads of the centre (such as the Pantheon area).

no problem! feel free to ask if you have any other questions! this is the best time of year to visit italy, you're gonna love it!

Hello Nel31v . All information that martymarty gave to you are totally correct. I would like to add one suggestion : don't get on the Bus 64 if it is crowded and watch always your bag and purse ; I don't want that your vacation in our beautiful country will start in a bad way . Buon Viaggio e Have a nice stay in the wonderful Rome. Giancarlo (italyinexpensively.com)
What's the address of your hotel? Try www.google.com</a> Click on maps and type in the address of your hotel.
When the map comes up click on satellite, then hybrid view. NICE look from above. In the from there to here section type in the Termni to the address of your hotel and you'll have your route. Helped me see how wonderfully close to everything I was from the apartment I rented lasted year. FYI you might peruse this webiste www.journeywoman.com</a> Lastly, I had a memorable albeit expensive "BUT I still think about the-apple-prawn-salad, zucchini flowers and fettucine with prawns and basil meal" here.

Get lost. Seriously, the restaurant I refered to above I found by taking a wrong turn. You have plenty of time there to see the "sites" but permit yourself the time just to wander. All the things I loved best about my first trip to Rome last year were found by accident. Bella Roma.

there are several buses that goes from TERMINI to LARGO ARGENTINA (and from largo argentina, pantheon is 5 minutes by walk, even less)

Clodbod is totally right! I still get lost myself sometimes in the center of Rome, and I always enjoy it and find new places I didn't even know existed.
Make sure you don't miss Trastevere, I suggest trying it in the morning on a week day and then going back on a weekend night...the difference will certainly impress you!
Oh, and if you want a real Neapolitan pizza in Rome, go to Pizza Forum, near the Colosseum (it's quite cheap, despite its location). It's in Via San Giovanni in Laterano, just across the Colosseum looking left when you get out of the Colosseo metro station. This is, if you're not going to Naples otherwise you should have pizza there!!!
Another advice is to be extremely careful with your purse/backpack when you travel on the metro/bus. There are quite a few gipsies and they tend to target unaware tourists. Always keep the bag in front of you and keep a hand over it. The basic thing is not to have a backpack behind you...way too easy to open!
I also suggest having at least one aperitivo, the most recent Italian trend. You basically go to a bar at around 6:30/7 PM, order a drink and then they usually have a buffet on the counter with all sorts of food...and it's all you can eat! You just pay the price of the drink (it can be anything from juice to beer to wine). There are two nice aperitivo places near Piazza Navona, Friends and Jazz Cafè. Otherwise go to Freni e Frizioni, in Trastevere, just ask anyone and they will tell you where it is! It's really cool, with a small piazza in front of it where everybody chills out, drinks and eats..alot of foreigners go there.
There's so much more to do, but you'll figure it out yourself! I really hope you have fun!
Ciao,
Martina
