Hi,

We will be leaving San Gimignano around 10am and have to be in Pisa aiport about 4pm for our flight back home.
Do you know which is the most scenic route to take over these 6 hours? We would hope to go via Volterra and stop off there for a hour or two. I've also read that the singer Andrea Bocelli was born in La Sterza. Is it worth going via this village.

Thanks,
Jared.

The road through Volterra IS really beautiful. I would do that. Also, Certaldo is interesting, too.

Thanks Cresti. Will check out Certaldo as well.

Grazie,
Jared.

La Sterza is nothing more that a bunch of houses around a crossroads. Nothing interesting about it, I'm afraid.
The road from Volterra to Pisa, though, is very nice. At least, it's nice until Pontedera.
