My family (2 adults, two small kids, a little more luggage than wish we had, including booster seats for the car) is going to be heading to Atrani on the Amalfi Coast for a few days in mid-July, driving from Tuscany via Umbria.
After a lot of consideration, and on the advice of our Airbnb host in Atrani, we decided not to do the Amalfi Coast part of the drive ourselves, so we're going to be dropping off our rental car at NAP and getting a private transfer from and to the airport (after Atrani we're flying down to Sicily from Naples).
Seems easy enough and not prohibitively expensive; I've seen online quotes for private vans for €100ish each way, or a little less for a conventional taxi. But I'm a little bewildered by the range of options. So for those who have done this sort of thing before:
- Do you have a specific company or website you recommend?
- Any you would NOT recommend? (It's hard to tell if these companies are all legitimate.)
- Would it be possible to book on the spot, without an advance reservation? (If so, I assume this would be a lot more expensive, so it's not likely to be our plan, but I'm just wondering.)
