Hi all,

Im planning to inter-rail Italy in the late spring.
Everything i've researched so far looks amazing but I keep hearing bad things about Naples time and time again.
I was planning to use it as a base to see the surrounding area but am I better off staying outside of the city?
Are there any other women who've toured Italy alone who could offer me some advice?

Cheers
Jess

The topic has been discussed here many times: being Naples noisy and over-congested if you are looking for a more tranquil and safe place as a base you'd better stay in Sorrento and use the local train (not covered by inter-rail) or the hydrofoil to get to the surroundings and to Naples.

Agree with #1. Sorrento is a better base.
Have nice time here in Italy
