I am taking my 15 year old son who is crazy about cars to Italy. He hopes to visit the Lamborghini factory. If I land in Milan, does anyone know how I can get to Bolognese from there?

bolognese sorry couldnt resist ;-)
to get to Sant'Agata Bolognese you would have to get a train from Milano to Bologna. then (from the Lamborghini Factory website:

<hr>you can take a bus leaving from Bologna main bus station. It will take about 45 minutes to get to Sant'Agata. The bus stop is just 5 minutes walk from the factory. Or, you can take a train to San Giovanni in Persiceto (which is located 6 km from Sant'Agata Bolognese. From there, you should take a taxi, although being a small station, usually there are no taxis waiting in front of it).

Given the love of cars, you could also rent a car from the airport and drive. Most motor factories (Lamborghini, Ferrari, Ducati (bike)) are located in suburbs or smaller towns, so direct train travel is not always practical. In the other direction there is an excellent motor museum in Turin (Torino) that is well worth a visit.
