Forgive me if this post is on twice, I can't find the original when I've searched. Having probs getting accommodation in Bellagio/Menaggio so looking at Como itself. Is 3 days about right for this town? We've two options of flights, if we get more time it's gonna cost a bit more. My gut feeling is 3 days/4 nts will be enough to see the main sites of como and do some short (2 hr) walks. I'm planning on a night in Bergamo and visiting Milan briefly en route. Anyone stayed in Como itself? We had a lovely week in Malcesine in Lake Garda and don't want to be disappointed!

Stay in Varenna and take the ferry to Bellagio.

Agree with #1...stay in Varenna or Bellano and ferry to every place od the lake. Even Mandello del lario is a nice place.
