Hi all,

Am in the early of planning a year in Italy on a working holiday visa (I'm Australian).

Was wondering if there's something along the lines of 'gumtree' that I could look at, just for an idea of the availability of share-houses and the cost of rooms etc.

To be honest, I'm not really sure what sort of work I could pick up, still looking into options. By the time I go I will have a arts/journalism degree, as well as heaps of experience in receptionist/admin in both aus and london, and hopefully 8 months teaching english in france under my belt.

I don't want a career-type job, necessarily, just something that will cover rent so I can soak up italy (while i'm still young!)

If you've got any suggestions I'd love to hear them.

Cheers,
Sam :)

P.S. I don't want to work in a resort, though, or WOOF.

You can definitely check out the options for teaching english in a large city!
Be prepared for a really lousy pay in Italy; so checking out really cheap shared apartements is a very good idea.

Getting a job is easier if you speak italian: you will have more options in the range of jobs.
And if you're really desperate you can work in a bar! :-)
