Hi,

Me and my girlfriend are planning a trip for 7 days in tuscany (10-17/10), and we are thinking about sleeping in a place called "Podernovo di Monticiano".
If anybody know about this place or have other reconemdations, we would appreciate your opinion.

thanks

omer

Monticiano is a nice village in a great area.

Casa Gigliola is also a nice self-catering appartment in a villa in the village.

If you like a more convenient location to go on daytrips Il Passo degli Ulivi is also very nice.

I used to teach in Monticiano, but, unfortunately, I don't recall this place. It looks really nice from their website, though. The area is really beautiful, though. You should not miss San Galgano, and ancient abbey without roof, and Chiusdino, a very beautiful village on top of a hill (well, almost EVERY village in tuscany is on top of a hill!). If you manage to rent a car, just hit the roads around Monticiano and ... get lost.
