Hey guys,
I'm going to be in Italy for just under and week and want to catch a stage or two of the Giro. I'm not sure of the best way to travel around Italy through the mountains and into remote areas. I'm looking to catch stage 9 from Montenero di Bisaccia to Blockhaus. Do you recommend renting a car? There are trains and buses all over the place, but I am tight for time and don't want to have to spend a ton of unnecessary time traveling around. How would you get from Rome to the top of Blockhaus?
Also, what are you recommendations for places to visit in the centre of Italy if you only had a few days and wanted to get some sun, have some drinks, and eat lots of amazing food?
Also, is Airbnb the best way to find cool accommodations in Italy or is there a better site?
Thanks a bunch!!
