My friend & I will be in Sorrento in a weeks time. We plan to do the beautiful Path of the Gods. Can anyone clarify how difficult it is to get there by bus from Sorrento? I have been googling it & pieced together the following: 6:30am bus from Sorrento to Amalfi. Then another bus from Amalfi to Bomerano. Any more info would be greatly appreciated. We don't want to lose half the day getting to Bomerano. Thanks in advance

A large part of the path is closed at the moment, so you might want to look for another walk.
You have to take 2 buses, one along the coast (most likely to Amalfi), the other one goes up the hill all the way to Bomerano where the path begins. Buses all together may take a couple of hours from Sorrento. It takes about 3 hours to do the path, depending on you. There's people who stop for a lunch with a view, take pics., etc.

Oh no! I have just googled this, can't find any info. Is it true there are two paths, an upper and a lower? Are both closed do you know?

As far as I know yes, you can walk on them and nobody will actually stop you, but if anything happens to you it can invalidate insurance and you can into trouble with the authorities.
I just found this dated 10th April 2018 on the Club Alpino Italiano website:
Until Now we are not able to tell you when the path will reopen. We know that the Parco dei Monti Lattari together with the Genio Civile yesterday made an inspection on the spot to estimate the extent of the work to restore the path. Continue to follow us on this site and on the Facebook group for updates.
This is the website http://www.caimontilattari.it/sentiero/327/
I don't do Facebook so I don't know anything about that.
If as it says they are still estimating the extent of the work involved I shouldn't hold my breath if I were you.
As of when this walk re opens does anyone know if its a safe walk for people who suffer with vertigo?Does it have narrow footpaths extremely high up?I am interested in this walk though I have read that maybe its not a good walk for people who suffer with vertigo.

I suppose it depends on the level of vertigo, the paths are quite good with not huge vertical drop offs.
Old Joe I work for a company who offer walks in this area, we spoke to the authorities on Thursday and they have this project marked as urgent. But being Southern Italy I guess it will still be slow.
