Hi there,
Can anyone give us a rough idea of the cost of things in Sardinia?
We are going in 2 weeks time and have b & b accomodation only - so how much do meals out cost on average please? Is alcohol pricey?
Thanks

Slightly more expensive than mainland Italy, but not much.
That's unless you go to the Costa Smeralda, of course. Then count on double normal prices.

It's more expensive compare to mainland. It's actually cheaper. Depending obviously where you are going. If the North east, around Costa Smeralda will be 10 times more expensive than mainland, but anywhere else is kind of cheap. Even if with the advent of the euro changed prices quite a bit.
A meal out can be an average of 12 to 15 euros per person, again depending on what u are after. But do remember that choice is really wide and you should also remember that if you eat in a restaurant they add a sort of extra fee (called Coperto) to your bill.
But tipping is not seen as a usual thing to do.
Enjoy your stay.
