Hi. If you know the area could you please comment on this itinerary we are looking at for a self-guided cycling trip using the organizer Velociped.

Roundtrip Venice

Arriving in Vicenza

Bassano del Grappa 40 km

Treviso 62 km
Today neat bike trails will guide you through the Prosecco vineyards. Visit Asolo, one of the most beautiful places of the Veneto with great palazzi and bourgeois houses dating from the Middle Ages, the Renaissance and the Baroque. Then marvel at Villa Barbaro, the most magnificent villa of Palladios, before reaching Treviso with its endless number of canals.

Venice Mestre 38 km
Easily you will follow the little Sille river today. Keep your camera ready to take pictures of the sunken wooden wrecks of the Burci boats you will pass on your way. An impressive experience of an untouched nature! You will reach your hotel in Mestre early so that there will still be enough time for a trip to Venice (about 10 minutes from here).

Chioggia 33 km
By bike and ship you will reach the islands of Lido and Pellestrina. The evening will be spent in the picturesque fishing village of Chioggia –Venice’ little sister.

Padua 60 km
Today you will follow the idyllic banks of the Brenta- canal, seamed by more than 150 rural residences and villas in the 16th century. Many of the have fallen into ruins today, but visiting the famous Villa Pisani is an absolute must! Don’t get lost in the maze, as Padua, the most beautiful town of Northern Italy, awaits you now.
