In May I am embarking on a road trip in a hired car exploring several mountainous areas in Northern Greece, eg Zagochoria, Rodopi, west to Dadia. I am used to driving in rural areas in South Africa on dust and gravel roads in a normal car, not an SUV. Although I shall avoid motorways, I do not intend to go wild and drive off-road. Does anyone have any experience to share about road conditions, weather, scenic routes, wildflowers? Thanks.

My husband and I are planning a short stay in Crete as a part of a longer European holiday. We are planning to ferry from Santorini to Heraklion on the 27th of September and fly out of Chania on the 6th of October.

I am looking to charter a sail boat for a 3 day trip from Athens to Santorini (or Mykanos) OR Santorini to Athens in early to mid July.

These boats typically 8 people so looking to find 2-3 more couples or singles to join my wife and I for a short boat trip.

• 2 days in Athens.

I'm looking for advice on the smartest way to travel from the Peloponnese (Monemvasia) to any port in Western Crete (Kissamos/Chania/Reythmnon) overnight on Thursday, June 11 (arriving in Crete on Friday, June 12). Any advice on the line that would best fit this schedule? I really don't want to have to go back to Piraeus. So far the closest I'm seeing is from Gythio/Kythira to Kissamos on WEDNESDAY night, but this is an old ferry schedule...
