I'm travelling to Greece at the end of August for 3-4 weeks. It's my first time leaving the country and I'm also doing the trip alone. My plan is, land in Athens & do some sight seeing there, rent a car (opinions?) and drive to Delphi, Larisa & Meteora for two days, return back to Athens and catch a ferry to Mykonos for Friday-Monday, ferry to Santorini for a week, then Crete for the remainder until I ferry back to Athens to return to Canada. I need opinion please on the direction. I am arriving in Athens and spending 3 days there, then i am thinking a day (including travel) to Delphi, and two days to Meteora with a day of travel. I checked the bus schedule and wondering if it makes sense to go to Delphi with my full backpack, see the site and then take a bus from Delphi to Meteora that evening? Next week we (family of 3, dad, mum and 3 years old daughter) will be spending 4 days in Santorini and another 4 in Milos.

I am looking for some recommendations on places to eat in both islands. Ideally good food at reasonable prices, sort of "where locals eat".

We are planning to go to Sparta / Delphi from Athens in May. Seems there's no online reservation for the bus tickets.

Is there anybody who's tried KTEL ? How can we book the tickets ? And what's the most convenient way to the bus station KIFISSOS & LIONSSION from Syntagma ?

Dear Traveler. I really had a bad experience with EuropeCar near Athens Airport. It is the first time I write this time of comment, but I believe it is necessary. Hi all

Am looking at flights from Santorini to London and I've seen one with a 9 hour stop in Athens.

I have a few questions....

Will I be able to leave the airport?
Is it easy to get into central Athens and how long approx does it take
Can anyone recommend any good half day tours that could pick me up from the airport and aren't too pricey?
