I'll be travelling to Greece in late august to mid september. First of all I'm wondering if it's best to book excursions and hotels ahead of time or if it could be a better deal when booking in person? Secondly, my plan is mainland, mykonos, santorini, then either crete or corfu. We are single girls approx 25 years of age. Which Island would be best for things like skydiving, scuba diving, nightlife, and hiking/history? I'd love to do the Samaria gorge in Crete but I also saw some skydiving…
Is early September 6-15 still too crowded or OK? Or is September 13-22 better or is that to late in the month? Wanting a more locals experience.
Our Itinerary was Athens, Mykonos, Santorini, Milos, Nafplion, Monemvasia, Kalamata, Olympia, Delphi. We are in Delphi and have two extra days to do something before heading back to Athens to return Home. Any recommendations? We were thinking the eastern coast??? Any suggestions would be appreciated. We've been traveling around 20 days now so we don't want to do tons of driving through mountains. We do have a car of course. We've seen so many ruins during our trip and wanted maybe…
Hi. I'm thinking of coming to one of the Greek islands, possibly Kerela for ten days or so in July. All a bit last minute at the moment! I'm 44 and have done a lot of traveling and would really like to stay somewhere that is friendly and would enable me to meet other travelers.
My ideal at the moment would be somewhere relaxing but with some access to seeing/doing things but also with the potential to meet other people.
Can anyone suggest anything for me?
Hello ,
In July we want to spend three weeks in Greece.Specifically in the southern Peloponnese and Crete. We will travel with our own car.
What ferry can we take in order to :
-
to cross ,with car, from the southern Peloponnese ( Neapoli, Kalamata , Ghitio etc) to Kythira/Crete
-
to cross without car from Crete to Santorini
-
to cross without car from Crete to Gavdos
-
return with car from Crete to Peloponnese
Thank You !
Hi,
Couldn't book the hotel that we wanted in Crete for August, so we're thinking about Late September (25/9 - 4/10).
My question is - is it still hot enough to use the pool and go to the sea? We're thinking about an all inclusive hotel, so we're going to do lots of water activities. Also, note that we have 2 small children (3, 6), so if the water is too cold, it would be a problem.
Thanks,
Erez
I'll be spending 2 nights and 1.5 days in Kalambaka and I was wondering if anyone has experience with the tours that are commonly offered:
-Sunset tour
-Half-day tour
-Hiking tour
I definitely want to take the Sunset tour on the day I arrive, but I'm still debating on which one to take on my second full day. Any recommendations from people that have taken the half-day and hiking tours?
Or is this better done on my own?
Thank you!
Is 6 days probably too long to stay on Paros? I am wondering now if have made a mistake and booked too many nights. I am going to be there in August 9 - 15. Will it be crowded?
Can anyone tell me which ferries leave from the new port on Mykonos? I want to go to Paros and would rather use the new port because it is close to my hotel.
Thanks.
We are a family of 4 adults traveling into Crete, Santorini, Mykonos for 1 week each (3 weeks in total)in July.
We love nature / scenery, beaches, history, culture and fun unique things to do. We don't mind doing some of the touristy stuff which is a must but would love to explore some off the beaten path gems.
Please help.
Mike
