We haven't been to Greece since 2002, but prior to that visited 4 times. Planning another trip back, and we know our itinerary so no questions around that. Although we would have liked to explore the NW of Greece, with the migrant situation we have decided to give that a miss this time.

My husband and I will be arriving in Crete end of May after a whirlwind tour of France and Italy. We will need to .chill.out. This is the end of our trip and would like to be in a place with the beaches and culture Greece is known for and some active things like hiking and/or climbing. So far it seems like Crete has these things, but where should be plant ourselves? Also, is there another island we'd be missing out on if we stayed on Crete and should we go there instead?

So, after some thought we decided that we'll stick with the Cyclades but we can't decide if we should go to Milos or Naxos as the second island and wanted to get some advice...

Both islands seem to have a lot to offer -- Naxos appears to have more to do but Milos appears to have more majestic pictures from what we have found.

I am planning a cycling trip from Greece to England this summer. I am just route planning at the moment, and wondered if anyone had cycled near Preveza? Apparently, there is an undersea tunnel there which cyclists can not use, but I don't really want to add on an extra 80 kms to go around the Amvrakikos gulf either. Has anyone had any luck persuading anyone to take them from one side of the gulf to to other on a boat? (Like from Vonitsa to Preveza?). Any help appreciated. Cheers!

we (my wife, my son and myself) are going to go for 8 days to Athens in mid-March.
I think that after 3-4 days in the city it would be great to spend another 3 days at the seaside. So I would like to ask you guys about an idea where to go. We want to go to nice place not away from Athens. I wonder whether Nafphio is a good choice ? If yes, how is the best way to get there from Athens ? by car or public transport ?

Me and my girlfriend really enjoyed a long week in the Cyclades last year, spending 2-3 days in Santorini and the rest on Naxos island (we were planning to go to Koufonissi as well, but decided against it as we wanted to relax and not move around so much).
