Working the summer in the Greek Islands

Has anybody worked through the summer on the Greek Islands? I will be arriving in Ios on the 14th of June and hope to find work in a bar by asking around? Is this too much to expect? If anybody has spent some time working on one of the islands, l would greatly appreciate your advice and your experience! Thanks! :-)
