Hi
My partner and I will be in Greece in early Sept - we would like to go to an island a couple of hours from Pireas -3 hours at the most, and snorkelling would be our most important desire - any ideas?
Thanks

Snorkling in Greece will be disappointing if you are expecting a coral reef type experience. Having said that, any beach with rocky outcroppings will give you something to see - lots of little brown fish and brown rocks, but the water is crystal clear, and warm in September. Paros and Antiparos are about three hours from Piraeus by highspeed ferry, and have lots of beaches of that type. If you hanker for more than snorkling along the beach, book a day with Blue Island Divers.
