Just wondering whether anyone has any up to date information regarding Skala, Kefalonia?
Just spotted a deal that we could be interested in to Skala at the start of May, but just need a little bit more information regarding the area - places to see, places to go (or not to go) and whether they're doable using local transport as there's little in the way of appropriate information in the LP Greek Islands book that I picked up a couple of years ago.
I have just downloaded the Rough Guide Snapshot onto my Kindle a day after writing the original version of this post and have taken a look at a couple of local websites which have given a small insight into Skala, but any extra info would be welcomed...
Our interests include art, galleries, historical sites, photography, sea trips and generally mooching around. GF also heads into churches etc. Not looking to hire a car or bike by the way and have noted that there are at least a couple of buses heading off from Skala per day.
