Hi experts on the internet,
I´m planning a visit to the Kassandra peninsula in late July/early August, and hope to stay in Afitos or similar places. Given that this is the high season with practically no available rooms online, I´m wondering about the possibilities for getting accomodation on arrival. Are there several hotels/hostels/B&B´s in Afitos that are not listed online, but could be available on arrival? We are on a mid-rang budget.

Many budget places are not on-line for booking
Third-party booking sites (booking.com etc) have only limited allotments. Even when they are booked out, there can still be rooms available.
With the current crisis there has been a big drop in bookings and increase in cancellations. Greeks are nervous about going on holiday themselves. It's not high season any more.
You better pay very close attention to the news. The situation might get better, it might get worse.
