Hi,
We're planning a trip to Greece in September starting off with 3 days in Athens and we're hoping to stay in a hotel with a view of the Acropolis/Parthenon...either from the room or a roof top bar or common hang out area.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers.
Jay

Hotel Attalos has a rooftop bar and terrace with a view on the Acropolis.

You might wish to consider reducing your time in Athens by 2 days, there's not that much to it.

Hi,
Yes I've heard that. 😄 However,as the first day is going to be a right off mostly spent in bed after a very long travel day in terms of real time it will work out to 2 days. Cheers!

"not that much to it"??? Rubbish.

There's plenty to see and do in Athens for several days if you want to keep yourself busy.

Thanks Brother. Although most people I talk to (if not all) say to get out of Athens quickly we like 'city trips' so Im sure we will really enjoy it. For example, when we go to Cuba we prefer to stay in Havana, which we love, instead of one of the beach destintations. If you have any hidden gems in terms of restaurants, neighborhoods, parks, sites, etc, you could recommend please send them along...they would be greatly appreciated. Cheers, Jay

Athens definitely deserves three days. Don't listen to people who don't like Athens :) You didn't mention your budget. Consider The Athens Gate Hotel - excellent view from the roof, nice rooms and good service. Have fun.
