Today, March 17 2011, as I stepped in the Athens bus B5 (Larissa Station - Agia Paraskevi) at the
Ampleokipoi Station bus stop, I did not notice a man who was late to exit the bus and after he pushed me,
I pushed him back and used my leg to push him out of the bus, after which he did a hand gesture and I shouted at him. As a Greek citizent, I want to apologise for my dispeakable behaviour. I had not realised that he was
a visiting tourist and showed none of the hospitality Greeks are known for. It is a hard time for us and
as there was a general strike, only buses were operating today. I know this cannot make up for my behaviour,
but I hope that this man will know that I am sorry for my behaviour and that if I were to ever meet him again
I would buy him a cup of Greek coffee and apologise again and again for my behaviour.

Sir, if you are reading this please know that deep down we are people of great hospitality. Don't let
the late mess that's hit our country fool you otherwise. I hope you will visit our country again and that you will never run into an idiot like me.

Cheers and have a great holiday in Greece,
fatih89.

fatih89: How nice to read something unusual like that! You're far from being an idiot. Compliments and ευχαριστώ!

Its not everyday that a citizen of a country like greece wants to apologise to a british tourist who was visiting their country, you should move to Malia or Zante and use your legs to push them off buses all day long, they should employ you as a national bad tourist basher.

apologising on here was a nice thought though. shows how much you value your manners etc.

If he had been Greek you would have...what?

shows how much you value your manners etc.
I´m not convinced.

This sounds like a fine opportunity for me to fess up and apologize to all the tourists on the main drag of Venice today that I pushed, prodded, tripped, kicked, poked in the ass with the very sharp tip of my umbrella, cursed at, elbowed into a canal, stabbed, bludgeoned, set afire, garroted, flayed alive, disemboweled or otherwise encouraged to move with a greater sense of purpose.

Ah, who am I kidding, they all deserved it.

Or was it all a dream? A deeply and richly satisfying dream?

I wouldn't have done anything worse, it would just be all the same, it happens everyday...
But the guy had given money to come here and see a country in strike, only buses operating.
He did not deserve having me ruining his already weird day in opposite land.

You should have just sprayed windex in his face. He would have forgiven you instantly!
