Airport transport in Santorini

Hi,

We're arriving fairly late (~10pm) at Santorini airport. We're staying at Ilioperato in Imerovigli about 1,5 km from Fira. The hotel can arrange transport for 20 EUR (shared transport for 2 pax) or 40 EUR (private transport).

Does it make sense to pre-book transport when arriving at 10pm? If so, does this sound reasonable or are there better options? We typically avoid hotel transfers as they're often a rip-off.

We want to avoid queuing for a long time but also spending more than required.

20 € is a fair enough charge, probably a bit less than a taxi which you may have to wait for if at the back of a queue.
