Hi I have a working holiday visa for Germany and I don't know any german. I've just started learning it. I just want to know if anyone has any tips for the best places to look for a job and the best place to find somewhere to live would be?
Hi there
I´ll spend a week in Berlin, but don´t want to stay only there, since I love small towns. I read about the thuringia region and I´m in doubt about this places: Erfurt, Weimer, Eisenach.I´m looking for places where walking is the better option, maybe bicicle, with a good market or central plaza, just to walking around. So, where should I go? Or do you know other places that aren´t too far from Berlin (aroud 3/4 hours by train)??
thanks a lot
Hi Everyone,
I was hoping that someone would be able to help me with a few questions that I have about traveling to southern Germany in December.
My boyfriend and I are planning a one week trip to Europe from Dec. 26- Jan. 4. We will be taking a tour for several days to London and Paris. After Paris we would like to travel to southern Germany to visit relatives for a few days (they are located in Uffenheim in Bavaria).
Which is the best, inexpensive way to travel from Paris to Bavaria?

I am flying to the US with my parents and we are staying in Munich one night.
Munich is a city I know nothing about.
I guess it will be better to stay in the city rather than at the airport because our flight to Boston departs late in the afternoon we can at
least look around the city in the morning.
Where should we go out to eat at night and where should we stay? I have heard that Marienplatz is the lively section of the city where we may enjoy sitting around and do some people watching,is this…
Hi,
I'm going to be in Germany for about a week in late May. We have a Frankfurt stopover. I'm open to visiting other countries in Europe, but don't want to have to move around too much.
Any tips for things a 13 year old boy would enjoy doing in Germany or nearby? Other than internet cafes :)
thanks
Hello,
Ok I am as some would say 'technologically challenged'. I will be travelling around Germany (and other places) but mainly Germany for about a month or so. As we want to just go with the flow and not book ahead I thought it would be handy to take a laptop with us instead of wasting time having to run around and find an Internet cafe etc. So what I want to know is:
If it is possible to buy mobile internet you know one of those USB thingies for a month? If so how much? which companies…
Hi Everybody
I am going to Berlin with my girlfriend for a weekendtrip this summer.
1) we are searching a hostel providing both a little bit privacy (separate room with bath) and access to the young people/ backpackers.
It should be somewhere around district MITTE with good access to tram or busses. We are curious to hear about your experiences...
Mittes Backpacker and City Stay Hostel are mentioned in other posts -> what do you think about these?
2) If you could also indicate some "Must-sees"…
hi everyone, my husband and i will be flying into frankfurt, and hoping to rent a car for travel to italy, slovenia, croatia, bosnia, and montenegro. every rental company we've talked with so far, won't let us take the car to bosnia and montenegro. does anyone know why? also does anyone know of a company that would let us take a car to all of the places i've mentioned. we've got our hearts set on this itinerary, and would really appreciate any help you could provide. thanks in advance for…
Hi I'm going to Munich 2-4 of May and need a place to park. My hotel is near the Central Station and Theresienwiese, but has no parking facilities. I know there are city centre carparks but I can't find any information about them in English. Any suggestions?
Hello again,
I have a more specific question for this thread. About preperations rather than the trip itself.
My friend and I will be in Germany all of July 08. We plan on backpacking.
We've never done anything like this before so have no idea how to prepare ourselves as far as what to bring and how much to carry.
Although we will be in primarily two cities (Berlin and Münster) for the first two weeks, after that we plan on moving around a lot, so we don't want to have to carry too much with…
