Hello,
Where are the best places to park a motorhome outside of Munich? Will we be allowed to even park our motorhome for the night somewhere?
I will post two other threads for the same question except in Paris and Amsterdam. If you could help me with those as well, that would be great.
Thanks a lot!

Hi
We are visiting Germany in August and we are flying into Frankfurt. We heard there is not much to do in Frankfurt, but I was wondering if anyone knew what we can do that is good for a family.
We fly into the airport at 7am and can't pick up the motorhome that we are hiring until 2pm.
Any suggestions on what to do in those hours and also what is the easiest way to get to the motorhome pickup terminal (Sprendlinger Landstrasse 188, Offenbeck)?
Thankyou very much!

just want to know if there is a cheaper way to do this - like buying the portion from dresden to ?? border town between Czech/Austria and buy another ticket for the portion within Austria. i checked bahn.de and there are some special tickets 57 Euro for 3 people to prague. how much does a ticket usually cost from prageu to vienna?

we are on a tight budget so if you have any…

I don't know if I'm allowed to do this here, but my wife departed on a visit to Canada this morning and left her monthly Berlin transit pass, good for all U-Bahns, S-Bahns, trams, buses and ferries in districts AB (all of central Berlin) until the end of the month (one more week) from 10 AM to 3AM weekdays and all day on weekends.

Rather than let it go to waste I would be willing to sell it for the sensational bargain price of 8 euros. The card cost €49.50 when she bought it, and now would cost…

Does anyone know if you reclaim your baggage to take through customs when landing in Frankfurt from the US?

I am booking a flight to Luxembourg for a 5-week trip because it is by far the cheapest, but I have a layover in Frankfurt. It would be more convenient for me to just skip the last flight if I can get my luggage back at customs in Frankfurt.

Thanks!

I seem to remember reading somewhere that it is possible to use a long distance train ticket to ride local transit once at your destination, and that it is good for the entire day. Is this true?

Hi all..

I am doing an intensive language course in Freiburg this June-July for 6 weeks at the Sprachschule Erstein.

First-wondering if anyone has taken a course at this school or elsewhere in the city--it's pretty intensive--5 hours group, 2 hours one on one/day, but i'm kind of serious about picking up the language (i've taken a year so far in graduate school in the states).

Second-Anyone have any everday tips--e.g. restaurants, cafes, favorite beergartens/wine bars, nice little shops…

I love reading magazines in German supermarkets. You always pass them just before checkout and their headlines always beckon and I can hardly ever resist.

In the past (a couple of years ago) I was usually told off by supermarket staff and asked to either stop reading the magazines or to pay them and take them home. "We are not a library" is what they usually said. Often they had signs too.

Now (2008) nobody has ever asked me to stop reading their magazines even though staff frequently walks by…

I´ll be spend a week in Germany next June (Berlin and some Thuringia region) and would love to taste as many "different" and "typical" food/drink from that country.
What can you recommend me? (of course commom sense tells me about sausage and beer, but what else? any specific kind?)
