nope - at least one of your parents had to be German at the date of your birth and then it depends on if you apply for citicenship within a certain deadline (ask the nearest German consulat)

let's be realistic - being a waitress at octoberfest is not an option - even as German you would need great connections to get one ( you make thousands of Euros within a very short time - guess how many German students would die for this job) - they don't hire newbies , many of their waitresses work on other beer festival and have experience

Your best bet are Irish or British bars - they always hire English speakers

look at it from a business side - companies tend to hire illegals when they have only small profit margins ( \most bars) - but not when they have huge margins and the whole world is seeing their employees (= octoberfest) - if it has to be the octoberfest, there are lots of other less fancy jobs (cleaning etc) you might have a chance to get , but they won't pay a fortune

sorry to correct you - grannie won't do it - German citizenship law is way stricter than other countries

until the early 70s a child did not even became automatically German when only the mother was German

I looked into the same question as a colleague of mine was in the same situation (German and Austrian grandparents, but parents were US citizen ) doesn't work - don't give advice about legal systems you obviously have no clue of
